WHAT
IS CHIROPRACTIC?
Chiropractic
Doctors are concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of
mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects of
these disorders on the functions of the nervous system and general health.
The
emphasis of chiropractic care is on the manual
adjustment. This is a procedure usually given to the spine but can
also apply to the extremities (arms and legs).

Chiropractors
use drugless, non -invasive all natural
health care,
and then rely on the body’s ability to heal itself.
To
achieve this goal we use three steps.
1.
LOOK AT THE PATIENT HISTORY AS A WHOLE:
- Consult,
review case history.
- Careful
analysis of the structure with close attention to its function.
-
Ask questions relating to life style…. exercise, eating habits,
stress, and repetitive motions performed.
2.
FIND THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM:
- Physical
exam and/or x-rays.
-
Diagnosis is made using history information.
- At
this point we can identify probable cause.
-
Seek to eliminate problem not just treat symptoms.
3.
FIX THE PROBLEM:
-
We use adjustments, sometimes along with physiological therapy,
exercise and stretches.
- Spinal
Decompression is a course of action for patients with leg and back pain
as well as herniated and bulging discs.
-
Acupuncture is used in our office as a means of pain management.
